What I Do: As senior editor of GreenBuildingAdvisor.com, I plan, assign, develop, produce, and publish daily content on the 6,000-member-strong site. I am responsible for author recruitment, community engagement, and thought leadership through GBA forums, social media, and other online and in-person outlets. Ensuring useful information covering all aspects of green building, including environmentally sensitive design, innovative materials, energy-efficient construction techniques, and must-know building science, is at the core of my duties.
Interesting Fact About Me: I grew up in low-income housing located next to a landfill. I learned at a young age the importance of a healthy, safe home and a clean natural environment—two things I coveted. After a long, serendipitous professional road, I have landed in a role whose mission is to support those two pillars of a good-quality life. I also tap dance and paint portraits.
What I’m Passionate About: Environmentalism, sustainability, and the cultural arts are what drive me.
What I Like About Working for Taunton: Taunton’s ethos of “hands-on living” and the people they hire to fulfill that mission make it a special place. Since day one, I’ve felt it’s a strong team spirit that makes our brands top-notch—that, and a whole lot of smart people doing excellent work for a greater good.
