What I Do: I copyedit content for Fine Gardening magazine and FineGardening.com. I also track production and handle several departments for each issue of the magazine.
Interesting Fact About Me: As a graduate student in New York in the late 1980s, I once received a handwritten note from Fred Rogers—yes, that Fred Rogers. The parents of a woman who lived in my building happened to pass by my door and noticed the “Won’t you be my neighbor?” sign taped to it. They took a photo of my door before returning to their home in Pittsburgh. The next time they went to church—which just so happened to be Rogers’s church too—they showed him the photo. When I checked my mail about a week later, I was floored to see that the real Mr. Rogers had written to me! That note remains my most prized possession.
What I’m Passionate About: Religion, the Beatles, craft beer, my family, and growing my own vegetables (and then cooking with them).
What I Like About Working for Taunton: There are lots of things I like about working for Taunton, but at the very top of the list is that every day I am exposed to beauty. At its heart, Taunton is about celebrating beauty—beautiful gardens, beautiful homes, beautiful clothes, and beautiful things crafted from wood. I never get tired of reading about and seeing photos of the beautiful things that people create.
