(Newtown CT – 3/31/22) – Ms. Dorsey joins the company as Publisher of the book division and a member of the senior leadership team. She will be responsible for the vision, strategy, P&L, and operations for The Taunton Press books.
Jen has worked in book publishing for over 20 years. Specializing in nonfiction, she has worked for both small presses and national brands in the history, tech, lifestyle, business, self-help, and how-to categories. She started her career at Guild Press of Indiana, where she learned the publishing business from the ground up. She later moved into acquisitions roles at Wiley, BowTie Press, and Entrepreneur Press, where she served as editorial director. She is also part of Broad Book Group, a small collective of publishing consultants who work with business authors and speakers to promote their brands. “Taunton Press has been the gold standard media brand of empowered creative communities for decades, and our books are a vital cornerstone of that relationship, says Dorsey, I am humbled and honored to join Taunton as book publisher. Jen is a graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and holds an MA and PhD from Saint Louis University. She enjoys travel, cooking, and volunteering. Most weekends, she can be found watching her kids play sports and compete in high school marching band. She lives in Edwardsville, Illinois with her husband Mike, kids Will, Cate, and Vivian, and Mabel the bulldog.
