Choose an Iron the Way the Experts Do
Analyze your pressing needs and find the features that get the job done right
by Jan Grover

Jan Grover, an avid sewer and published author, takes a look at what's available in household-priced steam irons for today's sewer. Focusing on equipment priced at under $200, she sorts out the options by feature, so that the reader can match the iron she needs to the type of sewing she does. Rather than provide a comprehensive listing of current models (which become obsolete rapidly), she interviews a range of sewing experts (most of them Threads authors) about their preferences in irons, and uses this information to provide guidelines for selecting an appropriate iron.
