Handle Your Hands with Care
It's easy to prevent accidental injury when cutting, sewing, and pressing fabric
by Carol Fresia

Sewers may not be wielding chainsaws or carving knives, but their hands are subject to all sorts of abuse nonetheless. Fortunately, there are a number of products on the market designed to help sewers keep their mitts in good shape. The author presents a selection of items she has personally tested, from the lowly thimble -- available in a surprising range of styles -- to cut-resistant gloves and non-greasy hand lotions. Sources are provided for each product shown.
