Last spring, Threads joined forces for the second year with The American Sewing Expo to sponsor "Inspired by Threads -- A Fashion Challenge," inviting sewers to enter garments inspired by articles in the previous year's issues of Threads. Almost 70 entries were received and blind-judged by the Threads editors. The five winning entries (including the Young Sewer's Award for a sewer under 25) were announced last September at The American Sewing Expo fashion show in Novi, Michigan, and are shown here, along with a host of finalists.
