CHOOSING AND USING NOTIONS TIP
Keep Pinking Shears in the Pink

Pinking shears are a vital part of my sewing equipment, and I own about half a dozen pairs. Over the years, I've had trouble keeping the shears working properly, even with periodic sharpening. Recently I discovered the problem: Lint accumulates along the edge of the cutting surface as well as on the little shelf above the cutting edges. I now use a soft brush to wipe away the lint, and the pinking shears are as good as new.
