GARMENT CONSTRUCTION TIP
For Smooth, Flat Bound Edges, Adjust Bias Binding at Curves

The difference between a binding's wrapped edge and its sewn edge determines whether you need to ease or stretch the binding along a curve. Even on the narrowest bindings there is enough difference to warrant some compensation. This is how to do it:

For an inside curve:
When the wrapped-edge curve is smaller than the stitched-edge curve, you should stretch the binding along the stitched edge as you sew.

For an outside curve:
When the wrapped-edge curve is larger than the stitched edge curve, ease the binding when you sew it on.
