GARMENT CONSTRUCTION TIP
Make Shirt Collars Roll Nicely by Adding Ease to the Top Layer

Step 1. Cut the upper collar and under collar the same size. Pin them together along the collar edge, easing in the upper collar 1/16 to 1/4 inch, distributing this ease evenly onto the under collar.

Step 2. Sew the upper collar to the under collar as pinned; sew from each end to the center back. Trim the upper collar seam allowance to 3/8 inch. Trim under collar seam allowance to 1/4 inch.

Step 3. Pin the collar layers together at each end, easing in the upper collar 1/16 to 1/4 inch, distributing evenly.
