GARMENT CONSTRUCTION TIP
Turn-and-Topstitch to Quickly Finish a Knit Neckline

This quick, simple neckline finish is great for a boat neck or one with minimal curve. Begin with a neckline seam allowance that is 3/8 to 5/8 inch wide, and serge or zigzag the cut edge. Then press the seam allowance to the wrong side of the garment, stretching the edge slightly to eliminate puckering. Secure the edge with one or two rows of topstitching.
