TAUNTON PRESS ACHIEVES EXCEPTIONAL SUCCESS AT RETAIL IN 2010
Revenue Grows Companywide Across Magazine Newsstand Products
NEWTOWN, CT February 14, 2011... Coming out of what was at best an uncertain year for most magazines, retail sales for the Taunton Press magazine division, reported through the first three quarters of 2010, were the highest in the company's 35 year history. Strong growth, especially at large national outlets, propelled Taunton to achieve the #16 ranking among all magazine publishing companies in total U.S. newsstand retail revenue, eclipsing several other major publishers such as Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Bonnier, and Hoffman Media, according to Magnet Information Systems data. One of only 4 of the top 20 publishers in the industry to post overall gains in the reporting period, Taunton led all companies with an 11.8% revenue increase.
