| Quiet Refuge in a Coastal Town A couple opts for a simpler life at the edge of a nature preserve by Anne Corey After their children were grown, Kathy and Don wanted to downsize and live near the beach. They found the perfect site bordering a nature preserve, but the existing house was an outdated cinderblock bunker whose footprint couldn't change due to environmental regulations. Working with a design/build firm, The Great Room Company, the owners designed a bright and open new home that fits their needs and inspires them, too. |
