A Victorian Re-imagined
Bold colors and subtle details bring out the best in a vintage home

Tom Curtis and Bill Moore knew that they'd eventually get around to renovating their Victorian house so that the layout and exterior lived up to its beautiful details. But their cue to act came when they overheard a tour guide citing the house as an example of historical architecture that had been ruined by the aluminum siding craze of the 1950s. First, architect Philip Mathews dramatically reshaped the interior by uncovering and using hitherto unused spaces. Then, the pair melded Tom's traditional tastes and Bill's modern bent to create an exciting balance of old and new.
