After honing her aesthetic sense in art school, where she studied photography, print-making, and performance art, Melissa Sarris found her medium when she taught herself to quilt. Now, she stitches exciting pillows and quilts in her Boston-area studio, combining painstaking craft with contemporary design flair and a bold color sense.
