Editor's Review: Belt Sanders Get Better
by Michael Standish
review date: November 1, 2007
Ryobi's 3-in. by 21-in. belt sander is lightweight, easy to control, and features excellent belt tracking and very good sanding capability. The belt on the model tested spun perfectly right out of the box. The speed adjuster is located on the front handle, so changes can be made without lifting a finger. The trigger lock is more problematic.
The manufacturer warns against putting pressure directly on the front rollers, so this sander should not be used for concave scribing. No accessories are available for this model.
