Editor's Review: 12-in. Compound-Miter Saws
by Rick Arnold, Mike Guertin
review date: July 1, 2004
With two trim blades, a 40- and a 60-tooth carbide, included in the price, this 12-in. compound-miter saw is a top value. It has an arbor-mounted laser disk that replaces the blade washer. As soon as the blade starts spinning, a single laser line appears on the stock. The laser is helpful for getting stock close to position, but it is not accurate enough to eliminate lining up the kerf with your mark. And it is not adjustable.
