Last month's newsletter contest winner was Mike Lonigro of South Salem, New York. A superintendent with a medium-sized commercial general contractor, he is currently overseeing the construction of a $40 million school in Westchester County. Formerly the owner of a design-build company for mid- to high-end homes, he has been involved in residential construction since the age of 14. He has worked in many aspects of the construction industry, from lumberyards to contracting to architecture/engineering. Congratulations, Mike!
We'll try to make the contest a little more challenging from now on -- we received 1161 responses in the first 24 hours, and nearly all correctly identified the tool as a non-metallic cable (Romex) stripper.
Tools may be known by different names in various parts of the country, but there is a common, accepted name we're looking for. So even if you and your buddies call it this, but we're looking for that, the final decision is left to the editor. Sorry, those are the breaks.
To make the competition fair to those who receive this email at home and don't see it until the evening, all correct answers received in the first 24 hours will be put into a hat, and one winner will be drawn. Good luck!
