Botanical Name: Euphorbia rigida yew-FOR-bee-ah RIH-jih-dah Synonyms: E. biglandulosa Genus: Euphorbia
This species is similar to E. myrsinites, but its habit is first erect before spreading, and its steely blue leaves are more narrow and pointed. It also bears terminal yellow bracts from early spring to summer.
 Noteworthy characteristics: Self-sows regularly. Milky sap may cause irritation to skin and severe discomfort if ingested.
 Care: This plant prefers light, well-drained soil in full sun, but tolerates a wide variety of habitats, and blooms more reliably in poor soil. 
 Propagation: Sow seed when ripe or in spring; divide in early spring.
 Problems: Nematodes, spider mites, aphids, mealybugs, fungal and bacterial diseases.
