Weeding Made Easy
These hand tools may look strange, but they're designed to get the job done right
by Bob Denman

Anything that simplifies a tedious chore like weeding is greatly appreciated. A huge number of tools and gadgets exist to make the job easier, but we don't always know how they're supposed to work, let alone if they will do the job. To answer such questions, we turn to tool guru Bob Denman, of Oregon. Denman has selected five tools that excel at handling specific weeding situations that usually pose a problem for gardeners, such as weeds that grow in cracks and weeds with tricky taproots. Denman explains why these tools make weed removal easier. And because it isn't always obvious, he explains how to use the tools properly.
