The oppressive summer heat on the Texas coast makes working in my garden an act of blood, sweat, and tears. To keep cool, I wet a lightweight bath towel, wring it out, and put it around my neck before venturing out into the garden. The moisture from the towel keeps my body cool no matter how hot and sticky it is.
