The key to a great salad, in my opinion, is to dry washed salad greens completely before tossing them with your vinaigrette. But my salad spinner rarely does the job to my satisfaction. Now I add a paper towel to the bowl of the spinner along with the greens. The towel efficiently absorbs the excess moisture, and it's easy to spin until dry.
