Subscriptions are payable in U.S. dollars only.

When does my subscription begin?

The Taunton Press will process your order promptly and begin your new subscription with the current issue. We ship through the U. S. Postal Service, using their periodical mail service. Delivery is usually within three to four weeks, but occasionally it may take more time. Please allow extra time for Canadian and other international orders.

If you have not received your first issue from us within six weeks, simply contact customer service or call our toll-free customer service number, 1-800-477-8727, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern time, and a representative will be happy to assist you.


When does my subscription end?

You can find out when your subscription ends from the address label on your magazine. Reading the top line of your address label left to right, you'll see:
  • The # sign followed by your customer account number
  • The # sign
  • The expiration date of your current subscription
  • The issue number of the last issue you will receive
  • The issue number of the magazine that the label came from.

See below for a mock label example:

I'm moving. How do I change my address?

To change your address online: Please fill out this Change of Address form and we will take care of the rest.

To change your address by mail: Send us your old address, preferably by attaching your label, and your new address. Please be sure to include the effective date of your address change. Mail to: The Taunton Press Customer Support Center, 63 South Main St., PO Box 5506, Newtown, CT, 06470-5506

Please keep in mind that we need at least six to eight weeks notice to make certain that your magazine arrives on time at a changed address. Mailing labels are preprinted in cycles, and it may take weeks for your information to be available for a print cycle.



I would like my magazine sent to two alternating addresses during the year. How do I specify where to mail?

If you want your subscription sent to two different locations during the year, we can do that for you. Just call our customer service line, 1-800-477-8727, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern time, and one of our customer-service representatives will set up the arrangement.


How can I renew my subscription?

We always want to provide our customers with continuous service; therefore, we send renewal notices to you through the mail prior to the end of your subscription, just to be sure that you have ample time to renew. You can mail your renewal back to us by using one of these notices or you can renew online.

How do I ensure that my subscription will be renewed? I do not want to generate a duplicate or additional subscription.

When entering your name and address, please enter them exactly as they read on your magazine address label. If your label states John Smith, do not enter J. Smith. Also, do not combine your recent address change at this point. To change your address information, use our Change of Address form.

Why do I sometimes see the current issue on newsstands before my own copy arrives in my mailbox?

You should receive your personal copy about a week before the issue hits the newsstands. But delivery times for magazines via the U.S. Postal Service are beyond our control. We do monitor delivery times and adjust our shipping schedules from time to time in an ongoing effort to get magazine issues into subscribers' hands first.

If you live outside the United States, your order will be sent surface mail; therefore, please allow extra time to receive your issue.


My issue never arrived or was damaged.

If it is several weeks after the cover date and you still have not received your issue, click on the following link to request a replacement issue. One of our customer service representatives will investigate the problem and send you another copy.

I've paid my bill, but more notices keep coming.

If you receive one bill after you have paid, please disregard it. Sometimes a bill will go out just before a payment is processed.

If you receive a second bill, we suggest you simply contact customer service or call our toll-free number 1-800-477-8727, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern time, to clear up the matter.



I subscribed through a Magazine Subscription Service. How long does it take to process the order? How do I confirm the order or the payment?

when you order a subscription through a Subscription Service, allow 4-12 weeks processing time. To confirm the order or payment, contact the Subscription Service; they have your payment information and order details. After 12 weeks, you can confirm your subscription by calling The Taunton Press Customer Service if you have not received an issue. Any problems with or changes to the subscription should be reported to the Subscription Service.
